The Japanese giant also explained why the 1080p UI was necessary in a press release, so that's the end of that mystery. Major announcements from last week were the Xiaomi Mi 4c and Meizu Pro 5. Both devices were eagerly anticipated and they mostly confirmed rumors about them from earlier in the month. The Mi 4c has a Snapdragon 808 SoC and a front-facing camera that the OEM is confident can take on the one in the iPhone 6, all without breaking the bank.
