So let’s change the question to this – how old is your current phone? We know that some of you have phones that you...

There may not be an Apple Watch Ultra 3 next year

Last month the Apple Watch Ultra 2 became official, one year after its predecessor, the original Ultra. With that in mind, you might be expecting the Apple Watch Ultra 3 to be announced alongside the iPhone 16 generation in September of 2024. That would be a logical assumption, but it turns out it might actually be wrong. Famous Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo today says the company hasn't yet started working on the next Apple Watch Ultra, and that's a bad sign. It's "unusual", he says, given how long the development cycle is. We assume this means that by this time last year,...

The device used in this test is unknown, and the model number speaks nothing to us – it could be a testing bench. It was tested with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, while OS is Android 14. This...

Weekly poll results: the Oppo Find N3 Flip is a good but pricey foldable

Despite a generous ₹12,000 cashback offer and an ₹8,000 trade-in bonus, the Oppo Find N3 Flip is still too pricey for a lot of people who voted in last week’s poll. Quite a few people are on the fence too, waiting for reviews of the phone to come out to make up their mind – ours is on the way. The Find N3 Flip is available only in India for now, which as it turns out is spoiled for choice when it comes to flip foldables. Even so, it seems that Oppo picked its launch market well as very few complained that the N3 Flip isn’t available at local retailers. Predictably, the majority is...

Some Google Pixel 8 phones reportedly have an unlocked bootloader out of the box

In what is a rather odd situation, Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro buyers have been spotted on Reddit complaining that their shiny new devices arrived with an unlocked bootloader. We aren’t sure how widespread the issue is, but from the looks of things, it is fairly limited since these things tend to blow up online fairly quickly nowadays, and Pixel 8 devices also feature a pretty obvious warning for an unlocked bootloader during the boot process. The following text is presented to the user: The bootloader is unlocked and software integrity cannot be guaranteed. Any data stored on the...

How to set up multiple WhatsApp accounts on the same phone? To set up the second...

iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus to jump straight to A18 chip, rumor says

One of the pretty transparent ways in which Apple has, in recent years, tried to increase its average revenue per iPhone unit sold, is needlessly differentiating features between the 'vanilla' (read: cheaper) iPhones and the more expensive Pros. It got to the point where the vanilla models are now powered by different, older chipsets in order to save Apple some money and protect its profit margin. That, however, may sort of change next year. According to a research note by Jeff Pu, an analyst who covers Apple and its supply chain and has a decent track record, sent to Haitong International...
