Google may have released the December security update (alongside the new Android 7.1.1 version) for its Pixel and Nexus devices today, but that isn't stopping Samsung from issuing older security patches to some of its older phones. Case in point: the Galaxy S5 from two years ago. This model is still getting updates from Samsung, though only security fixes and not new Android versions.
