Apple AirPods Max 2 vs Sennheiser HDB 630 vs Sony WH-1000XM6 comparison

Premium wireless headphones occupy a rarified space, far outside the reach of most audio products, and indeed, most people’s budgets. Despite the encroachment of true wireless earbuds, these behemoths have remained a constant presence in the market and are the preferred option, especially among travelers, due to their superior noise cancellation and extended battery life. Sony has ruled this segment for years with its WH-1000X series of headphones. About a decade or so ago, the company did the unthinkable and dethroned Bose as the market leader in the segment. Later, Apple came along with...

Top 10 trending phones of week 19

We didn't see too many new announcements over the past week, which probably explains why our trending chart has a very similar look to last week. Once again we have the Samsung Galaxy A57 leading the pack, followed by the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the Honor 600 Pro. [#InlinePriceWidget, 14320, 1#] The biggest gainer is the Galaxy A17, now up to fourth, followed by the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max, which retained its fifth position. The upcoming Xiaomi 17T Pro is already causing a stir, claiming sixth position, while the vivo X300 FE is back in seventh. The Redmi Note 15 is yet another...

There’s the option to upgrade to 512GB, which also involves a discount voucher. All three S26 phones follow the same pattern – straight discount for a 256GB model, discount + voucher for the 512GB model. Samsung Galaxy...

Weekly poll: would you buy a Motorola Razr 70, Razr 70+ or Razr 70 Ultra? Which one?

While this year the big news in the Motorola Razr family is the launch of the first book-style foldable, the Razr brand is still very much associated with flip foldables. The company refreshed its offerings with three new models: the Razr 70, Razr 70+ and Razr 70 Ultra. As usual, these will have slightly different names in the US: Razr 2026, Razr+ 2026 and Razr Ultra 2026. Let’s start with the top model. The Motorola Razr 70 Ultra (aka Razr Ultra 2026) is an iterative update – it uses the same Snapdragon 8 Elite silicon, although it does have the overclocked version (4.47GHz CPU...

Weekly poll results: the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is like a diamond, brilliant but expensive

We know that everything has been getting more expensive lately, but the prices of Ultra-class phones have gone too high for many who are interested in getting one. In last week’s poll, there was a lot of interest in the Oppo Find X9 Ultra with two-thirds of voters showing interest in the device – but only half of those thought that they could afford it. And the X9 Ultra isn’t even the most expensive Ultra on the market, although it does cost more than most. People are looking at trade-in bonuses, freebies like the Hasselblad Earth Explorer Kit and other ways to try and justify the...

Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro in for review

Huawei's Watch Fit 5 Pro is officially global, and is priced at £250. The watch comes in Orange, White, and Black. In the box, you'll find the watch, a nice orange fabric strap (in our case), and the universal wireless charging puck (though one that sadly still ends on a USB-A port). The lineup's design is very similar to Apple's Watch and Watch Ultra, but this year we are starting to see more difference. The front is no longer a flat glass surface like on the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro, and instead, there's a noticeable 2.5D curve to the glass. It's still a sapphire crystal glass, so you...

DJI starts teasing the Osmo Pocket 4P, confirms its cameras

DJI unveiled the Osmo Pocket 4 last month, but for some reason the company didn't also launch the much-rumored Pro version at the same time. The Osmo Pocket 4P (DJI really hates the word "Pro" these days) is still coming, however. And it will be launching internationally very soon. That's obvious from the fact that DJI has now published a teaser video for the Osmo Pocket 4P on its global YouTube channel. Not only does this show us the device from a few angles, it also confirms its much-rumored key selling point: the addition of a second camera. And that one is, as you may have...

According to past leaks, the international Reno16 Pro, which is of course the one we're talking about (the Chinese model will be quite different) is going to sport a 6.32-inch OLED screen, a glass and aluminum...

Google Chrome finally supports sharing your approximate location with websites

Google's Chrome web browser on Android now finally supports approximate location sharing. So now you can set it so that it only gets an approximate location from your device to send to whatever website wants it. Previously, Chrome always wanted access to your precise location, which is overkill for most websites. You can still use your precise location when you need to, by the way, that's not going away. Google is planning to release a new API for web developers that lets them request your approximate location directly, or specify if they need your precise location. Source

The FCC wants carriers to put more effort into preventing spam calls - or get punished

Back in 2016, Google updated Android’s phone app to warn users about spam calls. We have seen various iterations of this and other similar features, but the problem still persists. Now the FCC wants to attack the root of the issue by strengthening the existing “Know-Your-Customer” (KYC) rules. The FCC is asking for comments on more stringent verification for new and renewing customers. This may include requiring that customers provide their name, address, a government ID and alternative phone numbers. Additionally, the Commission is looking for feedback on how to punish carriers who...

Deliveries from Lenovo US are scheduled for May...

EU advises member states against using Chinese networking equipment

We’ve been hearing about a European Union-wide ban on Chinese 5G networking equipment for quite some time now, and the European Commission (EC) has now recommended that member states exclude gear from Huawei and ZTE from their local telecom infrastructure. The info was shared by an EC spokesperson and while it is not an official binding law, it does signal a clear step toward banning Chinese networking equipment from suppliers like Huawei and ZTE across the EU. The EU is in the process of implementing a new round of cybersecurity targeting supply chain security and product safety....
