AOL's search is now powered by Microsoft Bing

Following the announcement of a long term search partnership with AOL last June, Microsoft has shared that AOL's search is now powered by its Bing search engine. The Redmond, Washington-based company made the announcement in an official blog post. "As of Jan. 1, Bing powers AOL's web, mobile, and tablet search, providing paid search ads and algorithmic organic search results to AOL's properties worldwide," the software giant said in the post. Microsoft said last year that Bing claims over 20% of the US desktop search market, and now the company revealed that the search engine powers nearly one-third of US PC web searches.
