It's priced at INR9,999 ($144) and can be purchased from Flipkart as well as the company's online store. Huawei reportedly working on a 5G-connected 8K TV

A new report from Nikkei Asian Review says that Huawei is going to enter the television business. Huawei Technologies is planning to introduce the world's first 5G-connected TV as early as this year. New Apple patent shows plans for in-display fingerprint scanner

Apple was recently granted a patent for "Methods of biometric imaging of input surfaces" which explains an acoustic imaging system that would be used to map a high-res image of something on the surface, such as a fingerprint. The patent explains that an acoustic transducer could convert electricial signals into mechanical energy or vice versa. The mechanical wave would be the finger placed on the display, which would then be converted in to an electrical signal. South Korea already has over 260,000 5G subscribers

South Korea was the first country to introduce commercially available 5G at the beginning of April and according to the Ministry of Science and ICT, the country's three telecoms now boast a combined 260,000 subscribers for the next gen networks. Report: Apple saw 30% decline in shipments in Q1 YoY, Huawei up 50%

A new report from IDC revealed some insight into the smartphone industry in terms of a number of shipments during the first quarter of 2019. Between January and March, a total of 310.8 million smartphones were shipped, which is a 6.6% decline year over year. In 2018, Q1 declined 4.1%; in 2017 - 3.5%.
