Honor showcases Magic V3 in three more colors

Honor is preparing the Magic V3 for a launch next week. We already saw the phone in orange with a faux leather back and now, seven days before the official unveiling, the company showcased the new foldable in three more colors: Green, White, and Black. Honor said on its Weibo page that the colors are inspired by nature. The White option appears to have a glass panel, where the shade might change depending on the angle light hits it, while the Green and Black are classic frosted panels. Samsung Galaxy Buds3 retail box leaks, new stem style design is confirmed

Samsung's Galaxy Buds line started out in 2019, as the company recently reminded us ahead of its Unpacked event on July 10 where it's expected to unveil the Galaxy Buds3. And in these five years, no model has ever employed a stem design. That is set to change next week, however, for the Galaxy Buds3 are in fact the first Galaxy Buds with stems. This information was leaked before, and today an image of their retail box confirms the move. Obviously, a lot of people will complain about how Samsung is "copying Apple" here, but there are probably hundreds of other companies that have...

Google Pixel 9 to have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor

Google is unveiling the Pixel 9 family on August 13, which is about two months earlier than usual. We previously speculated that this could be a strategy to prevent leaks, but over the past few days we've already seen two hands-on videos, so that clearly isn't working. Anyway, a new report today claims that the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL will all have ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors. So far, all Pixels used optical in-display scanners, and now they're apparently switching to the exact same sensor model that Samsung is using in its Galaxy S24 series. The 3D...

Realme 13 Pro+ specs revealed

The Realme 13 Pro+ got certified for sale in China by TENAA, and yesterday only a couple of images of the device were available on its server. Today the specs have been added too, so now we have a pretty good idea of what to expect. Intriguingly, the CPU frequency listed by TENAA matches the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, not the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 that the device was long rumored to be powered by. Note that there could be differences between the Chinese model, which got certified, and the international version that is due to launch in India soon - so maybe the SoC is one of...

Realme 13 Pro+ gets certified in China, here's what it looks like

The Realme 13 Pro+ has been certified by the FCC last week, and now it's done the same in China at TENAA. This process has revealed what it looks like, although as per the usual TENAA standard, the pictures aren't anything special, quality-wise. Still, this is our first look at the upcoming smartphone, so we're not complaining. The Realme 13 Pro series (also comprising of the Pro aside from the Pro+) has already been teased to launch in India soon, and with all of these certifications hitting us left and right, we assume we won't have much longer to wait for the official reveal. The...

Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) in for review

This is the Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) and as the name suggests, it has a stylus. But before we get into that, here's a picture of the only accessory you get with the Moto G Stylus (2024) - a USB cable. You'll need to supply your own charger - the phone supports 30W wired and 15W wireless charging. Onto the stylus then. It goes into the phone's bottom right corner - the opposite side of the Galaxy S24 Ultra - there's an interesting tidbit for you. And here's another - Motorola's stylus is the exact same length and nearly the same girth as the S Pen. The similarities don't end...

Netflix removes the Basic ad-free plan in multiple markets

Netflix introduced an ad-supported plan in 2022, which costs USD 7 / CAD 6 / GBP 5 / EUR 6. And, as announced earlier this year, the streamer has removed its Basic plan, which was the cheapest ad-free option (at $10/€5 a month). Netflix is now implementing this change as multiple people on Reddit report that they have received notifications that their Basic plan is ending and they have to choose a new one – the cheaper ad-supported plan or one of the two other ad-free plans the $15.50 FHD and $23.00 4K options. The ad-supported plan has proven to be quite popular. It’s not available...

CMF Phone 1 runs Geekbench with its Dimensity 7300 chipset

The CMF Phone 1 will launch on July 8, so Nothing has only a few days left for final preparations before launch. This includes securing a certification from regulators like the NBTC. That certification lists the phone as CMF by Nothing, model Phone 1 (A015). This exact model number also appears in the Geekbench database. The benchmark reports an Android 14 phone with 8GB of RAM and a “Tetris” motherboard. CMF Phone 1: NBTC certification • Geekbench 6.3.0 • Official image We don’t have to guess, Nothing itself already confirmed that the CMF Phone 1 will be powered by the...

Honor Magic V3 and Magic Vs3 images leak

Honor is announcing the Magic V3 and Magic Vs3 foldable smartphones at a special event in China on July 12, as revealed by the brand itself earlier today. The Magic V3 has been teased to be even slimmer than the Magic V2, which launched in 2023 and is still the thinnest foldable smartphone. The Magic Vs3 is expected to be a more affordable version of the V3. Now images for both have leaked, showing their designs. For the V3 unfortunately all we get is part of the back, but it's enough to spot the very unique camera island shape. Of course Honor will use fake leather on at least some...

Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 image leaks

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will be the new thinnest foldable on the market when it arrives, according to a rumor from May, presumably taking the crown from the Honor Magic V3 which is launching next week. Today an official-looking image leaked showing the Mix Fold 4's back, in a version with fake leather (there may be others using glass, we're not sure). Do note that this was labeled as a work in progress, so some aspects may change before now and the phone's launch. The phone has four rear cameras as you can see, which is the same number as its predecessor, but the camera island is...

Google Pixel 8a vs. Pixel 7a

In case you are eyeing the new Google Pixel 8a, you are probably wondering why the extra few bucks for a seemingly similar to last year's Pixel 7a phone. After all, they are both touted as perhaps the best cameraphones in their respective price ranges. And we agree for the most part. By examining the specs sheets alone, it's quite evident that the upgrades this year are rather modest. But there's more than meets the eye, as is almost always the case. Stick around to see if the €100 price difference is justified by the newer model. Table of Contents: Design Display Battery...

All four iPhone 16 models will have A18 chips

Last year Apple launched the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus with the A16 Bionic chip, and the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max with the A17 Pro, introducing even more differentiation between the Pro and non-Pro models. This wasn't very well received, and it turns out to be an especially egregious move in hindsight now, when you consider that only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max support Apple Intelligence, precisely because of the chipset. The good news is that it seems like Apple isn't going to do the same thing this year. According to code discovered in Apple's backend, all four...

Samsung Galaxy Watches will get family health tracking

According to a teardown of the code inside the latest version of Samsung's Health app, the company is planning to add a useful new feature to its smartwatches soon. You will be able to monitor health data collected by a smartwatch for a child or other family member on your smartphone. To get things started, there will of course be an approval process in place that allows one Samsung account to process the health data for other accounts. There are privacy and security checks built in so that this feature can't be abused. Any member of a family group will be able stop sharing their data or...

Samsung starts hyping up July 10 Unpacked event with billboards across the globe

Samsung is holding its next grand Unpacked unveiling event in Paris on July 10, and today the company has started ramping up its hype campaign. Unlike some of its smaller competitors, Samsung isn't using the online medium for this - instead, it's plastered huge billboards across many cities globally. You can find these in Bangkok, Brasília, Dubai, Ho Chi Minh City, London, Madrid, New York, Seoul, Tokyo, and Warsaw, "among many others". The digital billboards feature a rotating 3D cube on a flat surface, followed by a projection of the Eiffel Tower (because Paris, get it?) and the four...

Samsung Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra European prices leak

Samsung is unveiling the Galaxy Watch7 family along with the new Galaxy Watch Ultra at its next Unpacked event, taking place in Paris on July 10. Today a new leak brings us purported pricing information for all the different variants in France. Since VAT differs across the EU, note that prices in other EU countries may vary ever so slightly. Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra With that in mind, let's dive right in. The Galaxy Watch Ultra will be available in one 47mm version with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 4G for €699. It will be offered in three colors: Titanium Grey, Titanium Silver, and...

The Galaxy Ring will have skin temperature tracking, snore detection

We're nearing the Galaxy Ring announcement on July 10 and some of the new fitness tracker's features have been unearthed. Android Authority were able to find some of the Galaxy Ring's features through an APK teardown of Samsung Health. The Galaxy Ring will be able to monitor heart rate and stress, as well as measure skin temperature and help track monthly periods. It will also feature snore detection, which will require a phone to be nearby and charging. Stress and heart rate tracking None of this is new - modern Galaxy Watch models have all of these features. It's likely...

Honor 200 Pro is the official smartphone of the Esports World Cup

The Esports World Cup begins next week in Saudi Arabia, and ahead of that the governing body EWCF signed a major partnership with Honor. The Honor 200 Pro will be the official smartphone of the tournament and will be used by players in popular games such as Free Fire, Honor of Kings, and Women's ML:BB tournament. Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, said the EWC athletes demand the absolute best in gaming technology, and the Honor 200 Pro surpasses their standards.
