Tecno Phantom V Fold2 lands in the Google Play Console revealing some specs

Tecno launched the Phantom V Fold back in February of last year, and it now finally seems like its successor is on its way. The Phantom V Fold2 was spotted in Geekbench in January, and now it's surfaced in the Google Play Console. The listing reveals the name to be Phantom V Fold2, and not Phantom V2 Fold as we thought a few months ago when we covered the aforementioned Geekbench run. The upcoming device will be powered by a MediaTek chipset, which could be a variant of the Dimensity 9000+, the same SoC that powered its predecessor. This will be paired with 12GB of RAM (again, just...

OnePlus Buds Pro 3 leak in both colors, specs outed

OnePlus is still working on its next pair of flagship true wireless earbuds, the Buds Pro 3. The company made the non-Pro Buds 3 available earlier this year, and the Nord Buds 3 Pro this month - but don't confuse the decidedly mid-range Nord Buds 3 Pro with the high-end OnePlus Buds Pro 3. Naming shenanigans aside, the Buds Pro 3 have been leaked today in two colors: Midnight Opus (black) and Lunar Radiance, which is described as a mix of silver and gold tones. OnePlus Buds 3 Pro in Midnight Opus The case shape is quite reminiscent of the Nord Buds 3 Pro's, to add to the...

vivo X200 dummy emerges in live shots

The vivo X100 launched back in October of last year and only began its international rollout in early 2024. We now have our first look at its alleged successor – the X200 which made its way to Chinese social media platform Weibo. The demo unit seen in the images features a few different design choices compared to its predecessor including a flat display and side frame with chamfered edges. We can also spot a prominent camera island on the back with a shiny metal ring around it which should house a trio of 50MP cameras including a Sony main sensor and a 3x periscope. vivo X200...

Nothing Phone (2a) Plus in for review

This is the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus and you should think of it as a more powerful (rather than larger) version of the 5-month-old Nothing Phone (2a), not as its replacement. In fact, both phones will be on sale simultaneously. So what does a Plus warrant? A new 50MP selfie camera (vs 32MP on the regular) and an upgraded chipset - the Dimensity 7350 Plus uses the same design as the Dimensity 7200 Pro, but is overclocked. It may not sound like much, but Nothing claims a 10% faster CPU, and 30% faster graphics performance, which is... well, something. This new Metallic Grey color also...

Google's Circle to Search is now available in Chrome

Google's Circle to Search AI feature debuted earlier this year on Samsung's Galaxy S24 family, and now you can use it even on your computer in Chrome. The feature has been made available in both ChromeOS and the Chrome browser. There is, however, a (slight) catch. Or two. First, we're talking about the ChromeOS 127 beta build, and the Chrome 128 beta for Windows or macOS. Second, Circle to Search isn't actually labeled that, for whatever reason. Instead, it's called "Search with Google Lens". If you are on the beta track for either ChromeOS or Chrome for Windows or macOS, you can...

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch7 receive first software update

Samsung's Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra were both announced at the company's big July 10 event, and they went on sale last week. Now, Samsung is pushing the first software update for both. If you haven't received yours yet, then this update should be waiting for you when you take your new Watch7 or Watch Ultra out of the box. As is usually the case with first ever updates, this one isn't huge - it focuses on improving stability and performance and fixing bugs. After applying the update, your Galaxy Watch7 will be on version L310XXU1AXG2, while the Watch Ultra gets...

Google Pixel Watch 3 promo images leak, more details outed

Google's Pixel Watch 3 is becoming official at the company's big August 13 event, and it apparently just can't stop leaking. Yesterday we told you about all the various colors you will be able to get it in, and today a new leak sheds light on even more details, as these seem to be promotional images from the Google online store. The Pixel Watch 3 will come in two sizes for the first time (41mm and 45mm), and it will have an "Actua" display with up to 2,000-nit peak brightness. Unlike its predecessor, it will provide advanced running metrics, and will have 20% faster charging (for the 41mm...

nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version in for review

The nubia Z60 Ultra arrived in December 2023 as one of the first phones with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The next month Samsung announced its Galaxy S24 lineup with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset, which features slightly higher clock speeds. Either an exclusivity deal between Samsung and Qualcomm had ended, or the San Diego chipmaker has simply managed to produce enough units of the faster chipset as it's now also available for other makers. Obviously a reband was in order and it's now known as "Leading version" rather than "for Galaxy." nubia was quick to take advantage...

According to this leak, the Poco M6 Plus 5G will have a 6.8-inch LCD screen, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE chipset, a 108 MP main camera (which has already been confirmed by Poco itself), and a 5,030 mAh battery. Poco M6 Plus 5G and Poco Buds X1 leaked images We have been suspecting that the Poco M6 Plus 5G is a rebranded Redmi 13 5G, which launched earlier...

Realme unveils cheap but durable Narzo N61 with a die-cast aluminum chasis

Realme has quietly introduced a new member of the Narzo N series that slots under the N63 both in terms of price and capabilities. The company focused its attention on building a very durable phone. The Realme Narzo N61 has a die-cast aluminum structure and an integrated metal frame on the inside, plus reinforced glass on the outside. The company took the effort to add seals on the USB port and the card slot. It also added shock absorption to the main circuit board. The result is a phone with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance and a TÃœV Rheinland High Reliability...

New Oppo K12x arrives in India with military-grade body

Oppo K12x 5G was just launched in India and it has little to do with the phone of the same name in China. The new arrival borrows the design of the Oppo K12 but has a slightly different footprint. The new phone has a Mediatek chipset and a new set of cameras and is also more durable, as it passed MIL-STD-810H shock-resistance test. The Oppo K12x has a 6.67" LCD with HD+ resolution and up to 120 Hz refresh rate. Oppo said this is the first phone in its segment with Splash Touch technology, which allows you to operate the screen with wet hands while the panel is also wet. The...

Bloomberg: Apple Intelligence is running late, won't arrive with new iPhones

Apple Intelligence's arrival might be delayed, reports Bloomberg News. According to people familiar with the matter, the AI features will miss the launch of the new iPhones in September and will be distributed in October via a software update. Apple has yet to push the AI to software developers, but expectations are that it will arrive this week via iOS 18.1 beta and iPadOS 18.1 beta. The service, initially introduced at WWDC back in June, will be available on all new devices powered by the A17 and M series chips. Some old devices, such as the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max...

Huawei teases nova Flip with a square cover screen

Huawei is preparing to launch a new foldable phone called nova Flip. The company posted a teaser video on its Weibo channel, where a member of the TFBoys music band showcased the clamshell from all angles in a lovely Lime green color. The new phone will have a square cover display, alongside the camera island. The screen is relatively small in current terms, but is still bigger than what the Huawei Pocket foldables had. The whole teaser is a series of clicks and clacks, which make up the Morse code for the word "Flip." We can see the nova phone will have two cameras on the back, one...

Weekly poll: nubia Z60 Ultra Leading and Z60S Pro are here for your approval

This week nubia refreshed the Z60 Ultra and introduced a sequel to the Z50S Pro. These two have unique designs that make them look like a futuristic camera and they have the hardware to back it up. Plus, they bring Snapdragon 8-series performance at a price that undercuts most flagships. The nubia Z60 Ultra Leading is mostly the same as the original Z60, except it switches over to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SM8650-AC, which is often dubbed “leading edition” by Chinese makers. This model also changes out the sensor inside the 35mm main camera – the nubia Z series is old school like that,...

Weekly poll results: the HMD Skyline could be the company's first own hit

HMD stopped using the Nokia brand for its recent Android phones, but it still reaches into the bag of old Nokia designs – and this time it pulled out a winner. The HMD Skyline is attracting a lot more attention than any other phone that it has produced since maybe the first one. And it’s mostly positive attention too, though the comment section was not without critical voices. Let’s start with the good news – people love what they see. Resurrecting Nokia N9/Lumia design and painting it in bold colors is proving to be a successful strategy (and it is not unlike what Motorola has been...

Our Xiaomi Mix Flip battery life test results are out

The Xiaomi Mix Flip was introduced last week in China, and we brought a phone for a review. We just completed the battery test and we are ready to share our findings. The clamshell has one of the biggest batteries on the market, a 4,780 mAh cell. The phone also comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and two AMOLED displays that should be moderately power-hungry. With that in mind, we established an 11:58h Active Use score, which is less than the year-old Find N3 Flip and the premium Razr 50 Ultra, both of which have a more power-hungry chipset. The 21:20h of call time result is a...

Nothing Phone (2a) Plus specs leak

Nothing is launching the Phone (2a) Plus on July 31, and it will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7350 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM. That much has been revealed by the company itself, but what about the other specs? What makes this "Plus" version superior to the original Nothing Phone (2a)? A new leak today answers precisely that question. Let's start off by saying that if you were expecting the word "Plus" to be about physical size, you'll be disappointed. The Phone (2a) Plus is rumored to sport the exact same display as the Phone (2a). It will be offered in gray and black and...

It's been a crazy week for Pixel leaks, and they don't seem to be stopping. Following a previous leak today of some promo videos for the Pixel 9 family and official cases for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, now we have the 'vanilla' Pixel 9 leaking in all the colorways in which it will be offered. This follows a similar leak showcasing all hues of the Pixel 9 Pro yesterday. So, the Pixel 9 will come in Obsidian, Porcelain, Rose, and Green. Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 price leaks

Yesterday Google's upcoming Pixel Buds Pro 2 leaked in all the colorways in which they're expected to be sold, and today it's time for pricing information to be outed. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 will allegedly cost $229, €249, and £219, respectively in the US, EU, and UK. That's a slight increase of $30 / €20 / £20 compared to the original Pixel Buds Pro which came out in 2022. The new earbuds come with a similarly shaped but apparently slightly larger case, which may hide a bigger battery. The buds themselves will hopefully have better features than their predecessors. The Pixel Buds...

Google Pixel 9 Pro cases and official promo videos leak

It's a new day, so it's time for some new Pixel leaks. Google may have been trying to prevent comprehensive leaks of its upcoming devices by holding its annual launch event two months early in August, but that clearly hasn't worked at all. Following yesterday's barrage of Pixel leaks, today we have a ton of newly leaked promo materials, leaked promo videos, and leaked official cases. So let's dive in. The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL's official cases have been leaked. The former device will get silicon cases in Charcoal, Porcelain, Hazel, Rose, and Aloe. That last one is strange...

Google Pixel 9 Pro leaks in all colors

When it rains Pixel leaks, it pours Pixel leaks, apparently. Earlier today we had two of them - one about the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL, the other about the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. And we're back to the Pixel 9 Pro, as this device has now been leaked in all four of its colorways. Google Pixel 9 Pro in Obsidian So, ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes upon Google's smaller high-end device (the Pixel 9 Pro XL should have basically the exact same specs in a larger package). Like all of the other Pixel 9s, this one too will become official at Google's big hardware launch...

iPhone 17 Slim specs leak claims it will only have one rear camera

For a while now, Apple has been rumored to discontinue the iPhone Plus model starting next year, and replace it with a tentatively called iPhone 17 Slim. As the name implies, this should be record-breakingly thin (at least for an iPhone), in the same way as Apple's latest iPad Pro is its thinnest tablet ever. Today some more details about the iPhone 17 Slim have been leaked by Ming-Chi Kuo, longtime industry analyst and purveyor of Apple-related rumors. He claims the iPhone Plus currently makes up only about 5% to 10% of iPhone shipments, and that's why it's getting the axe. The...

Now it's been officially confirmed by the company during its latest earnings call. Spotify CEO Daniel Ek said the company plans on offering such a plan, which is right now still in "early days". It will be offered by Flipkart, and will be protected against accidental drops, shakes, extreme heat, extreme cold, and humidity. It's unclear what device this is, but some are speculating it could be the recently leaked Motorola Edge 50 Neo. This will be the successor to the Edge 40 Neo launched last September. It will allegedly be...

Today, prolific Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station has shared an image containing renders of the Honor X60i in all of its colorways. The phone is said to be the first in the Honor X60 series, so it will probably be joined by an X60 and X60 Pro, if not also an X60 GT - we base this assumption on the fact that the Honor X50 family has a 'vanilla' member, along with the X50 Pro and X50 GT. The Honor X60i will have a 6.7-inch FHD+ LCD screen, a 50 MP main rear...

Google is working on a TV Streamer set-top box

Google is working on a new Chromecast with Google TV device, and it looks drastically different from what we have seen so far. According to 9to5Google, it would be called TV Streamer and would have a set-top box design rather than an oval dongle. The remote would also get slightly redesigned but will keep its oval form. The Google TV Streamer looks like it will be similar in size to a Pixel Tablet Charging Speaker Dock but more slanted. It has two cables coming out of the back; likely, one is the HDMI, and the other is the power cord. It may or may not have some display or touch...

Weekly poll: is the HMD Skyline your next phone?

The HMD Skyline has attracted a lot of attention. What is it – is it nostalgia for the Nokia N9? Or is it the repairability angle that draws people in? The phone is now available in some countries (on pre-order in others), so we have to ask – will you buy one? The design feels quite fresh – we’ve seen all the rounded rectangles that we can handle – and the comparison with the N9 is a positive one, for those who remember the MeeGo phone. However, instead of polycarbonate, this one uses a modern metal-and-glass construction. The phone is designed to be easily repaired at home by non-pros....

Weekly poll results: the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 are too pricey

Samsung’s latest foldables were met with criticism in last week’s poll – the two main points were the price and the hardware. Samsung is not seen as the leader of the foldable market, not in terms of offering cutting edge technology. Both the Galaxy Z Flip6 and the Z Fold6 feel more like iterative improvements over previous models than a new generation, according to commenters. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is too expensive with a whopping 45% of voters shaking their heads at the price tag. As for the hardware, in our review, we noted that charging is somehow even slower than the already slow...

Deals: the HMD Skyline goes on pre-order, Realme GT 6 and GT 6T keep their prices low

HMD may have struck gold with the Skyline – the phone’s design mixes nostalgia for the Nokia N9 with a bold Neon Pink hero color and the repairability angle (while not unique) does earn some brownie points. The phone is surprisingly capable – the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is by far the most powerful chip inside an HMD phone. Admittedly, the competition is the Snapdragon 695 and some Unisocs, but we’re glad to see that HMD is finally moving to better chips. The phone’s 6.55” display is a 144Hz OLED (FHD+) and features a 50MP selfie camera on top. On the rear, a 108MP main (OIS), 50MP 2x tele and...

Samsung delays Galaxy Buds 3 Pro pre-orders due to quality issues

Samsung’s brand-new Galaxy Buds 3 Pro were supposed to go on open sale from July 24 but quality issues have pushed that date by a full month. Samsung US has updated the availability date to August 28 while Samsung’s UK and Germany branches show the Buds 3 Pro will ship from August 16. Amazon US has completely removed the Buds 3 Pro listing. The suspected cause for these delays are the new silicone ear tips which appear to be ripping when removed. The tears render the tips useless as they cannot be reattached and users are forced to install one of the two replacement sets which is not a...
