Sony WH-CH720N wireless headphones review
The WH-CH720N are Sony's latest alphabet soup wireless noise-canceling headphones. The CH-series is Sony's mid-range offering with a balanced feature set that sits under the more premium 1000X series and alongside more specialized models like the XB extra bass series. The CH720N sits at the top of that range with a fairly broad feature set that makes it essentially a lite version of the 1000XM5. You get Sony's active noise-cancellation along with a claimed 'balanced' tuning for the sound, all powered by the dedicated Sony V1 processor, also found on the 1000XM5. Let's see how they...

Weekly poll: vivo X Fold2 and X Flip - hot or not?
vivo unveiled its first clamshell foldable last week, the vivo X Flip. It features a large 3” cover display and benefits from the company’s refinements of hinge design. The second generation horizontal foldable, the vivo X Fold2 was announced as well and it brings a number of refinements (and some downgrades). The two foldables launched in China, vivo has not shared any plans to sell them in other markets for now. And if it does, will it offer both of them or will it do what Oppo did and only offer the Flip to a wider audience? We can only speculate for now and while we’re on the...
Weekly poll results: Xiaomi 13 Ultra's fate to be decide by reviews
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra remains the most popular phone in our database, a week after it went live. Clearly, it has captured people’s attention – but most people aren’t rushing out the door to get one. Last week’s poll shows that despite its elite pedigree, the phone will have to prove itself in reviews. Is it really the camera king? We’re in the process of finding out. Its predecessor, the 12S Ultra, earned a place in our hearts, but its limited availability made it a non-starter for most fans around the world. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is different, it is a global phone, even if the company hasn’t...

The tech, called Flat Panel Haptics, provides tactile feedback on a flat surface using inflatable buttons. The FPH is 5 millimeters thick and incorporates an Embedded Electro-Osmotic Pump. Using an electrical current to activate the small pumps, the...

But people flock to Apple mostly because of iOS and the ecosystem that it provides. And...

Google releases Android 14 Beta 1.1 patch, fixing a lot of bugs
Google has today released Android 14 Beta 1.1. As the rather weird naming implies, this is a mere small update to the first beta, which came out a couple of weeks ago. The next, second beta is scheduled for next month, so you might be wondering why Google would go through the trouble of releasing an intermediary version right now. The answer is bugs. Apparently the company thought some of the bugs running around in Beta 1 were too annoying to let be until Beta 2 comes around, and that's how Beta 1.1 came about. The new build is labeled UPB1.230309.017.A1 for Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro,...

Sennheiser IE 200 review
The IE 200 are Sennheiser's entry-level in-ear monitors. If you've ever felt envious of the company's more expensive IE 300, IE 600, or the flagship IE 900 models, then at $150, the IE 200 is a much easier pill to swallow, especially since the previous entry point cost twice as much. With the IE 200, Sennheiser has a very clear goal; to offer an exceptionally neutral sound signature at an affordable price. This is a bit of a departure from the other models in the series, which have all come to be known as bass cannons. In that sense, it is a bit of a role reversal. If you want the most...

Xiaomi ensured that it would stand above any other phone in the market, and be head and shoulders over its own Xiaomi 13 Pro. Looking at the Xiaomi 13...
Weekly poll results: ROG Phone 7 Ultimate well loved, but gaming phones still not for everyone
Last week’s poll was all about gaming phones following the announcement of the Asus ROG Phone 7 duo and it’s time we look at the results. The majority of voters (over 42%) said they don’t want a gaming phone for now. It seems most of you are still not sold on the idea of a dedicated gaming phone and there were several good reasons in the comments section. High pricing seems to be one of the key pitfalls for devices like the ROG Phone 7 as they are in the same range as the top-tier flagships from established brands. Some suggested gaming handhelds like the Steam Deck are a more...
